IYF-Japan's Role in the Society
As a member of IYF global network, IYF-Japan also takes responsibility as such an "intermediary" non-profit organization specialised in sound youth development.
An important objective of its work is to increase the quality and quantity of philanthropy for children and youth, as well as to further develop in Japan a culture that is supportive for donation, leveraging substantial new funds from both traditional and non-traditional donors.
Its strategies for accomplishing this objective are to promote donor partnerships, encourage international investment, and stimulate local philanthropy.
While business leaders have long supported youth issues, we create vehicles through which corporations and others can invest their funds with even greater focus, efficiency, and effectiveness.
We work to make sound investments in positive youth development through a variety of financial mechanisms, including unrestricted grants, donor-advised funds, and competitive grants. "
